Continuing with Times Tables

Hello Everyone!

Last week we started working on our times tables.  I realize that times tables can sometimes be difficult to learn and understand.  I've decided that we will spend this week to continue to work on our times tables.  This week in addition to learning and practicing our times tables, I've decieded to incorporate some fun learning games.  Each day we will play a new game that involved learning and practice different times tables.  We will start this week with a game that can be accessed online.  Students will have Monday and Tuesday to get onto the website and play two of the games.  There will be an hour of class time devoted to this games. Worksheets will be giving out during this hour.  I will rotate two students to the computers every ten minutes.  Students who are not on the computers will work on the worksheets.  I will circulate around the room to assits students who need help wtih the worksheets.  If parents would like to play these games with these children at home I have attached the website where the games can be accessed.  Email me with any questions, concerns,  or difficulties you may have.  Have a great week!

  1. This is a great idea. When you're working with young children you always need to find new and creative ways to keep them interested. I like that you're using games to hold the student's intrest.

  2. I also think that this was a great idea. If students are still struggling, it is a good idea to take a little extra time that allows students a better chance to grasp the material. Games is also a creative idea to grab students attention.
